DEBI DAVIES: Instructor -- Debi specializes in precision cutting and the latest hair coloring techniques. She has been working in the Cosmetology Industry for the last 29 years. As a master of her craft, she keeps up with the latest techniques and hair trends as they appear on the fashion scene. She continues to improve her skills through international training with elite educators, such as, Trevor Sorbie and Viveianne Mackinder.
Debi continues to provide current trends in her classes and supervision. She stays in touch with several salons in the Portland Metro area with a watchful eye for potential job placements for our students.
JACKI PHILLIPS: Instructor -- Jacki was born and raised in the greater Portland area and was fortunate to find her place in the Cosmetology field for over 43 years. Her training started at the Malar Barber College and finishing her education at the Phagans’ Beauty School in downtown Portland. She later furthered her education in Electrology and is always on top of the latest styles and products.
In addition to working in six salons and schools Jacki owned her own salon for several years. The relationships that she has developed over the years continue to be an asset to our students and the school. She calls upon her varied history and years of experience for her classroom demonstrations providing invaluable education and training for our future Cosmetologists.
JODI NEWMAN: Instructor -- Jodi is the newest addition to our teaching staff. After completing her Cosmetology education at Phagans’ Tigard Beauty School she continued her education in the “Cadet” program at the Phagans’ Milwaukie Beauty School. Having completed this course, Jodi is now a registered certified practitioner.
Jodi's passion for her career brought her back into the classroom as an instructor where she can pass on her enthusiasm, while assisting students with the challenges of gaining an education in cosmetology. Her words of encouragement have the ability to help every student studying for a successful career in salon services.

Welcome To Our Classroom
AMIE BARBER: Director of Education -- Amie completed her education in 1992 then went onto an apprentice program at Hickox & Friends which provided her an excellent opportunity and learning experience. She then worked at Great Clips for several years as a stylist working her way into a management position. She then leased a station and worked as an independent contractor.
Amie is responsible for ensuring that all instructors are provided a current curriculum and teaching materials for our students’ success. Her knowledge and experience in working with the Oregon Department of Health Licensing provides our students the answers to questions for Oregon and other state requirements. Her relationship with the Oregon Department of Education, and her continued training have proven to be an asset to our school.
HEATHER BLOCK:
Financial Aid Administrator --
Heather has 20 years of work experience in finances and administration. Most recently she worked as the Senior Finance Assistant for the City of Tigard.
She has also worked for Robison Jewish Health Center, Emerald Group and Newberg Garbage.
Heather has been with Phagans’ Tigard Beauty School for 2.5 years working part time as the Financial Aid Administrator.
DIANNE KINDRICK: Director –
Dianne has over 20 years experience in the administrative field with a strong bookkeeping background. Her attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines provides Phagans’ with the required documentation delivered to the US and Oregon Department of Education, Oregon Health Licensing and our accrediting partner NACCAS.
Dianne ensures that Phagans’ Tigard Beauty School meets all agencies “Administrative Rules and Regulations” from our recordkeeping to our catalog; updates are required on a regular basis.
